Welcome to Plant-a-Tree. By using our application, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully, as they ensure the safety of our entire planting community.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By downloading and using Plant-a-Tree, you declare that you are aware of and agree to these terms. The application is a public-use platform for recording reforestation activities and community interaction.

2. Login and Google Account Integration

Plant-a-Tree uses Google Account as the primary authentication method via Firebase.

You acknowledge that by logging into the app, you are already subject to Google's Terms of Service.
Responsibility for the security of your access credentials lies exclusively with you.
Misuse of the account or security violations reported by Google may result in the immediate suspension of your access to our application.

🚨 Content Policy and Permanent Ban

Plant-a-Tree maintains a ZERO TOLERANCE policy against the misuse of the platform.

Posting any NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content, which includes nudity, sexually explicit images, promotion of violence, hate speech, or offensive photos, will result in the IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT BAN of the user account, without prior notice or the possibility of data recovery.

3. Responsible Map Usage

Plant-a-Tree is a digital mapping tool. You are solely responsible for your actions in the physical world.

We are not responsible for plantings carried out on private properties without authorization or in areas where planting is legally prohibited.
Users must respect local urban planning and environmental laws when performing a physical planting.

4. User Intellectual Property

By submitting photos of your trees and posts, you retain the copyright but grant Plant-a-Tree a free, global license to display this content on our map and social feed for other users of the platform.

5. Interactions and Community

Features such as "Water Drops," "Tributes," and "Collective Planting" exist to foster real care for nature. Abusive behavior, spam, or harassment of other planters through these tools will lead to account suspension.

6. Events and In-Person Activities

Plant-a-Tree allows users to create and participate in events related to tree planting and environmental actions in the real world.

By creating an event, you agree that:

The event must be related to environmental activities, such as tree planting or community actions.
The information provided, including date, location, and description, must be truthful, clear, and complete.
You are fully responsible for the organization, execution, and participation in the event.

You may not create events that:

Are unrelated to environmental activities.
Are false, misleading, or nonexistent.
Serve an exclusively promotional or advertising purpose.
Contain offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
Are used for spam or repetitive event creation.

Plant-a-Tree is not responsible for cancellations, changes, issues related to events, or any damage or loss resulting from participation in events organized by users.

We reserve the right to remove events that violate these rules, reduce the visibility of low-quality or low-relevance events, and suspend accounts in cases of misuse of this feature.

Users may report events considered inappropriate, which may be reviewed and removed without prior notice.

7. Terms Updates

This document may be updated from time to time to reflect new features or legal changes. We recommend consulting this page periodically. Continued use of the app after updates implies acceptance of the new terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Plant-a-Tree is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, although we constantly work to provide the best possible experience in managing your digital orchard.
